This 3-Day Rwanda cultural experience will introduce you to Rwanda’s unique cultural traditions with the ultimate cultural encounter at one of the country’s leading cultural centre, local communities, gorilla trekking, craft making galleries, city tour experience, among others. You will participate in various activities, starting with a visit to the Ibyiwachu Cultural Village. Here, a local group of former poachers shares insights about their community’s way of life through handicrafts, poetry, and traditional performances. The tour includes a stop at Dian Fossey’s monument, honoring her efforts to protect mountain gorillas. Without her work, these gorillas might have faced extinction. Additionally, the tour features a visit to Kigali, noted as Africa’s cleanest city, where you will explore the genocide memorial site, local markets, and enjoy city sightseeing before concluding your trip. This unique and discovery journey will take you into the dense jungle to trek the endangered mountain gorillas, and after enjoy cultural visits, communities, and many others.

DAY 1: Transfer To Musanze, Visit Ibyi Iwacu Cultural Village
This morning at 08:00 am, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali to begin your 3 Days Rwanda Cultural Adventure Tour. You will visit Kigali city and enjoy a scenic drive to Musanze with stops for photos (2.5-hour drive). Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and have lunch. After, expect to have a cultural visit at the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village, a hub for several aspects of rural culture, traditions, and livelihoods. The village offers experiences beyond wildlife, including local dances, Gorilla songs, traditional food preparations, visits to a local healer, and stories from the king’s place. After the cultural activities, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Your day begins at 6:00 am with a drive to the Volcanoes National Park offices for a 7:00 am briefing on gorilla trekking rules. Then, at 8:00 am, you will start your trek. The main experience is spending an hour with the peaceful mountain gorillas as they feed, play, and rest. Volcanoes National Park protects the mountain gorillas and features various ecosystems like forests, grasslands, and swamps.

DAY 3: Transfer for Kigali city tour and Departure
Wake up at leisure, have your delicious breakfast, and after drive to Kigali for a city tour, depending on your return flight. You will visit the Kigali market, the Kigali Genocide Memorial, National Museum, among others. After, have a lunch break, and then you will be transferred at Kigali International Airport to meet your return flight.
