3 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Adventure

Depending on the time of arrival, meet and greet our representative/driver guide, who will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. Expect to have some stops to enable you to enjoy the countryside’s stunning scenery with undulating hills and scenic landscapes through Ruhengeri. The country is dominated by a tapestry of rolling hills, hence its name, “the country of a thousand hills.” You will check in at your booked lodge, relax until dinner, and overnight.

Wake up early and prepare for the day’s highlight in anticipation of getting close and personal with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural wilderness. These unique gentle giants have dominated the tourism industry for this 21st century, attracting quite a number of travellers to come and witness their close cousins that share 98% DNA with humans. During trekking, you will be guided by ranger guides after a briefing at the park information offices. While in the jungle, expect to pass through dense jungle, hiking hilly and steep terrain in search of mountain gorillas. However, the gorilla encounter in the wild is worthwhile, meaning that in the end, your efforts will be rewarded. The duration may take about 2 to 5 hours before seeing these mountain gorillas, and upon seeing them, you will spend a maximum of an hour with them. This will give you ample time to interact, study their day today activities, social lifestyle, and many others. Return to your lodge and later in the evening visit the local people, where you will learn about their cultural traditions and social lifestyle. You will also get entertained through their cultural performances such as the traditional dance, singing and also have a chance to see and support them in their hand craft works.

Rise up at your leisure, have breakfast, and after, your guide will come for you at the hotel or lodge and will transfer you to Kigali for an optional city tour visiting places like Kigali Memorial Genocide, Kigali Market, Museum, among others. After transferring to the airport to meet your return flight. This marks the end of your 3-day Rwanda gorilla trekking and Cultural Adventure.
