This 5-Day Uganda Wildlife and Cultural Tour will immerse you in Uganda’s wildlife, unique culture, and traditional practices, particularly of the Karamajong.  This tour will take you to Kidepo National Park in the northeastern part of the country to witness the true African wilderness, as you enjoy the breathtaking views of the countryside. Expect to participate in their day-to-day activities, such as playing traditional games, harvesting, preparing local dishes, crafting items like beading, learning, dancing, and practicing skills like bow and arrow shooting, as well as traditional friendly wrestling, among others.

  • DAY 1: Drive to Kidepo National Park

    On arriving at Entebbe International Airport, our company representative will warmly welcome you, transfer you to the hotel, and get you refreshed. After you will get briefed about your 5-day Uganda wildlife and cultural tour to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will start your journey to the pristine wilderness of Kidepo in the eastern part of the country. Though this destination is underrated due to its remoteness, but worth visiting because of its exceptional wildlife, rich culture, and a true African wilderness. You will pass by local villages and probably run into other tourists. The breathtaking views are very impressive! Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park, yet many view it as one of the most beautiful in Africa. The park features a vast savannah landscape extending to distant mountains. You will arrive in the evening, check in at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • DAY 2: Game Drive

    Rise up early, have breakfast, and head for a morning game drive along the trails of Kidepo Valley. The park inhabits by one of the most exciting wildlife with the highest number of buffalo herds in any Ugandan park, with over 80 species of mammals. Several of which are endemic to Kidepo national Park like the cheetah, kudu, striped hyena, dik dik, caracal, and over 460 bird species, including ostriches. Return to your lodge for lunch and later go for the sunset game drive in the park. We have the option of carrying our cooking equipment and preparing a meal for ourselves in the wilderness. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

  • Day 3: Transfer To Moroto

    After your hearty breakfast, head for a morning game drive and after check out of the park to drive to Moroto for lunch. After, drive to the Karamojong village, where you will spend an evening with the Karimojong Warriors, joining in their daily activities like local games, preparing food, dancing, and craft making. You will learn skills such as shooting arrows and friendly wrestling. You will also experience life in the Kraal, taking care of animals and interacting with shepherds. Activities include bringing cows to the kraal, sharing stories by the campfire, and playing games with the warriors. The Karamojong have a strong cattle culture and wear traditional clothing, often with elaborate beadwork. Camping with the Karamojong warriors and having dinner with them.

  • DAY 4: Hiking Mount Moroto/ Bicycle tour of Karamoja

    Wake up for an early morning breakfast. After that, you can either ride a bicycle to visit different homesteads of the Karamojongs and explore their culture, or enjoy nature by hiking to Moroto mountain. Visit the Manyatta and enjoy the surrounding plains.

  • DAY 5: Departure- Return to Kampala

    After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and meet your driver for a transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy a brief city view en route.

    Your driver will ensure you arrive at the airport in good time for check-in and departure. This marks the end of your unforgettable safari experience.
