Day 1: Arrival from Kigali and Transfer to Kinigi – One-day Bisoke hike
Our guide from Ganda Cultural safaris will pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 am and give you a briefing about the tour. The journey to Volcanoes National Park takes 2-3 hours through Rwanda’s beautiful mountainous countryside, also known as “the Land of a Thousand Hills.” You will arrive at the Kinigi offices by 7:30 am for a briefing. Hiking Mount Bisoke lasts 4-6 hours and typically starts at 8:00 am. Consider hiring a porter for your extra luggage and equipment. After enjoying the crater lake and surrounding scenery, you will return to your lodge for lunch and rest.

Day 1 Kigali City and Cultural Tour
Our 1-Day Kigali City and Cultural Tour will show you the culture, history, and progress of Kigali since the 1994 genocide. This tour can be part of a broader Rwanda safari that may include activities like gorilla trekking, cultural visits, a game drive, exploring Lake Kivu, biking along the Congo Nile trail, and chimpanzee trekking. We will use a vehicle to visit many sites efficiently. You can choose which places to visit based on your interests and budget, and you can request to add or exclude landmarks within Kigali.
The 1-Day Kigali City and Cultural Tour begins after breakfast, with pickup from your hotel or any location in Kigali. You can choose a half-day or full-day tour, and the schedule depends on your start time and pickup point.
