The 10-Day Uganda wildlife, culture, and primate safari provides adventure experiences with wildlife and nature. Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport- Get transferred to your booked hotel in Entebbe
Upon arriving at Entebbe International Airport, a customer care representative and safari guide will welcome you. You will be taken to your hotel to refresh before meeting your safari driver guide for a pre-safari briefing about your 10-day Uganda wildlife, culture, and primate safari. Next, you will visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens by Lake Victoria, where you can see various bird species and vervet monkeys. Finally, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Entebbe City- Visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary- Top of the Falls
Wake up early and have breakfast before driving to Murchison Falls National Park in northwestern Uganda. Along the way, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola district for a white rhino tracking experience. This sanctuary was created in 2005 to help restore white rhinos to Uganda. You can use a local guide to get close to these endangered animals. After tracking, relax and have lunch at Kabalega Dinner. The next day, explore Murchison Falls National Park, enjoying the breathtaking views and sounds of the falls and the Nile River. The park is home to 76 mammal species such as lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, topis, Jackson’s hartebeest, and over 450 bird species. Have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Morning game drive-Afternoon Boat Cruise- Evening relaxation
Wake up early for breakfast before going on a morning game drive to see various wildlife like lions, giraffes, elephants, and more. You may spot secretive leopards, hippos, and many bird species. After a short break for a full breakfast, continue the game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch, then in the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Nile Delta to the falls, where you will see more animals such as elephants, hippos, buffaloes, waterbucks and crocodiles with unique birds such as Saddle-billed Stork, Malachite Kingfisher, Pied Kingfisher, African Jacana, African Darter, Egyptian Goose, Eagles and pelikans, among others. End your day by returning to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 4: Murchison Falls NP – Transfer to Kibale Forest NP – Evening Bigodi Swamp nature walk
The day starts with breakfast and a drive to Kibale Forest National Park, famous for its large chimpanzee population and many primate species. The park contains 13 primate species, including L’hoest’s monkeys and red colobus monkeys. Visitors can also see other monkeys and over 375 bird species. After lunch, the trip continues to Fort Portal City, known for its beautiful tea estates and the Rwenzori Mountain Ranges. The next day includes a visit to Bigodi Swamp for a nature walk and community experience, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Kibale Forest National Park-Chimpanzee Trekking- Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Visit Katwe
After breakfast, you meet your safari guide and go to the park information offices for a briefing on chimpanzees. You take a guided forest walk to look for chimpanzees, which share 98.8% of human DNA, and might see other animals like primates and bush pigs. After an hour with the chimpanzees, you have lunch and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You visit the Katwe community to learn about salt mining. Later, you check into your lodge for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking in Kalinzu Forest- Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, trekkers will go to the Kalinzu Forest Reserve for a brief walk and to meet their guide. They will have a second chimpanzee tracking safari, observing different plants and animal species. After spending an hour with the chimpanzees, they will have lunch and relax at the lodge. Later, they will enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, seeing hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and birds. Finally, guests will return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 7: Morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park- Tree climbing lions-Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The itinerary features a morning game drive safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, a famous park in Uganda. You will visit Kasenyi Plains to see wildlife, including the big five mammals and primates. After the safari, you will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which is famous for its ancient rainforest and half of the world’s mountain gorillas.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park- Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
In the morning, get ready for mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest by preparing supplies, dressing right, and having breakfast. Meet your guide for a briefing on park rules. You will be assigned a gorilla family to track, and you can hire a porter for help. Then, begin your walk in search of the gorillas, which may take 45 minutes to 4 hours. Bring water and snacks. Spend one hour with the gorillas taking photos, then return for a conservation certificate. Enjoy lunch, go to Lake Bunyonyi to relax, and have dinner before staying overnight.

Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi Boat canoeing-transfer to Lake Mburo National Park-Evening Night game drive
Wake up at your own pace, enjoy breakfast, and go on a morning canoeing adventure on Lake Bunyonyi, which has 29 unique islands. One island, called Akampene, was historically used to punish pregnant girls. After canoeing, visit Lake Mburo National Park, where you can learn about the Ankole people’s history and culture. The park offers evening and night game drives to see animals like zebras, antelopes, and giraffes, as well as nocturnal creatures like hyenas and leopards. Lake Mburo is the smallest savannah park in Uganda, home to many bird and mammal species.

Day 10: Horse riding in Lake Mburo and Return to Entebbe International Airport
On your last day of the 10-Day Uganda wildlife, culture, and primate safari, have breakfast before going on a morning jungle horseback riding safari in Lake Mburo National Park. This experience allows you to see wildlife while riding a horse, creating a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. After breakfast, you will drive back to Entebbe International Airport, stopping at the Uganda equator line in Kayabwe to see a water experiment that shows how forces act differently in the Northern and Southern hemispheres. After lunch, visit craft shops for Ugandan souvenirs before heading to the Entebbe International Airport.
