Day 1: Birding in Mabamba Wetland – Lake Mburo National Park
On the 1st day of your 7-Day Birding Tour in Uganda, meet your guide in Entebbe and travel to Mabamba Wetland, home to the famous and elusive Shoebill and several other water birds. After lunch, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, stopping at the equator for lunch. After, continue with your journey to Lake Mburo National Park to catch up with the evening savannah and water birds.

Day 2: Birding in Lake Mburo National Park
Wake up and have your delicious breakfast, then go canoeing on Lake Mburo to see the worm catchers, particularly the water birds, including the African Jacana, Cormorants, Yellow-billed Stork, African Finfoot, and Kingfishers. After lunch, expect to do birding in the park searching for savannah birds such as Tabora Cisiticola, Coqui Francolin, Bare-faced Go Away Bird, barbets, among others. Retire and return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Bamboo Trail for birding
Wake up early and have your breakfast, after transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, about 5-6 hours. You will have a stopover in Kabale Town for a lunch break, and then proceed with your journey to your booked lodge in Bwindi. Upon checking in, you will have an evening birding experience along the community trail, where you will spot several bird species. Retire and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Mubwindi Trail – transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the Mubwindi Swamp trail, unique for Albertine Rift endemics such as the Regal Sunbird, Rwenzori Batis, Purple-breasted Sunbird, Mountain Masked Apalis, among others. This 4–5-hour hike takes you through jungles and slopes, offering stunning views of valleys and the Virunga massif. While on the trail, you may see primates, many bird species, forest elephants, mountain gorillas, and bush pigs. After the hike, you will travel to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening birding experience before heading to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Game Drive and boat cruise
Wake up early and have breakfast. Join a morning game drive and birdwatching in the Ishasha sector, home to unique wildlife species such as several birds, tree- climbing lions, antelopes, and others. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel for birdwatching. Return for evening birdwatching in the Kasenyi area.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park – Bigodi swamp
