    After your breakfast, you will take a captivating drive through the country side’s breathtaking landscapes to Kibale National Park, in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains. Get in at your booked lodge, have lunch, and relax. Then get on an afternoon guided walk through the crater lakes area for breathtaking views, including Lake Nyinabulitwa, Lake Nyabikere, and others. Visitors will enjoy the stunning views of the dramatic crater lakes and the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” in the background. Retire and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience in Kibale Forest National Park

    After an early breakfast, report at Kanyanchu Tourist Centre offices for a briefing where chimpanzee activities such as briefing and group allocation begin and set out to track chimpanzees in the lush jungle of Kibale Forest. Chances of viewing the chimps are over 90%, but not a guarantee. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on other forest species, making it interesting and adventurous. In addition, this trek will reward you with other primates like Black and white colobus monkeys, Olive baboons, bush babies, grey-cheeked Mangabeys, Red colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, and L’Hoest’s Monkeys, among others.

    After lunch, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, from where you will take on a guided nature walk around the swamp. This walk provides an opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna, a variety of bird species, butterflies, and other insects. You will also have a tour of the crater lakes around Ndali lodge. You may also stop over at any tea plantation along the road if you wish.

    Note:  Visitors who wish to do Chimpanzee habituation, you will need to add US$ 300 to non foreign residents, $250 for foreign residents and UGX 250000 per person. Chimpanzee habituation is more rewarding since it gives you an opportunity to spend the whole day with these intelligent Chimpanzees

  • Day 3: Second Chimpanzee Trekking – Kibale Forest

    Wake up early, have breakfast, and after you will be transferred to Kibale headquarters offices for a briefing before setting off for another forest walk in search of chimpanzees. The guided forest walk provides information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on other forest species, thus making it a unique, rewarding experience. The trek will reward you with several primate species such as L’Hoest Monkey, Red Colobus Monkey, Red-tailed Monkey, Grey-cheeked mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Bush Babies, Red-tailed monkeys, and others.

  • Day 4: Kibale Forest –Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Have your breakfast and after begin your morning with a visit to the historical Nyakasura Falls (Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru) in Fort Portal, and thereafter drive southwards into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is the lushest montane rain forest on earth, filled with unique primates and exotic birds, rolling valleys, hilltops, marshes, and papyrus swamps.

    Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high-end lodge), or Sliverback Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (mid-range), or Buhoma community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Camp (Budget facility).

  • Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park- Gorilla Trekking Experience

    Begin the day with breakfast, ready for gorilla trekking, which begins at 8:00am after a briefing from the park information offices of the Uganda Wildlife Authority staff. Ensure that you are well prepared with the essentials such as hiking shoes, a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of pants, a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, a camera, water waterproof backpack pack and jungle boots, among other gears, because of the forest experience ahead. The armed ranger guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates in a group you have been assigned. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorillas, one of the most exciting wildlife experiences. This tracking experience may take between 2 to 6 hours, but it’s well worth the effort.

  • Day 6: Second Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    After breakfast, you will go for the second gorilla tracking following the same procedures at the park information centre, but in another group or family, returning in the afternoon for relaxation and sightseeing around the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at either:

  • Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe

    After your morning breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala using the Mbarara – Masaka highway. Make a first stop over at Igongo Cultural Center, or Ishanyi Food Centre, for a lunch break and then proceed to the Equator crossing at Kayabwe for the water experience where the earth divides its self into two hemispheres, before driving to Kampala. After you will proceed to Entebbe to meet your outbound flight or to your hotel in Entebbe. Here, you will be dropped off at a place, hotel of your choice, or Entebbe International Airport, for your outbound flight back home.
