Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
We will pick you up at your hotel in Entebbe or from Kampala at 06:30 am and transfer you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. It is located in Nakasongola District, home to the white rhinos, where you will have a chance to see white rhinos in the wild. Rhinos got extinct in Uganda in the early 1980s, and the Ziwa site is being used as a breeding site for the white rhinos. Upon seeing these rhinos, you will spend about an hour with rhinos. Afterwards, have lunch and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park-Morning Game drive- Afternoon Boat cruise
Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, after you will go for a morning game drive in the park to spot several animals such as leopards, buffalos, giraffes, elephants, lions, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, you will take a relaxing boat trip on the River Nile. Here you will have a chance to see aquatic species such as crocodiles, hippos, and an array of rare birds. You will also see the point where the River Nile flows towards Lake Albert, one of the major highlights of this trip. Dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.

After your breakfast, drive to upper Murchison Falls National Park, where you have stunning views of Murchison Falls along the Nile River. Note that some times due to some flooding of the Nile, it’s at times not possible to hike to the top of the falls from downstream. The visit to the top of the falls will be driving across the Paraa bridge atop the falls. After this spectacular experience at the top of the falls visit, drive to Kibale National Park. The drive to Kibale National Park will go through western Uganda’s major cities, including Hoima, Kyenjojo, and Fort Portal. There will be a scheduled stopover for lunch along the way particularly in Fort Portal. The drive should take about 6-7 hours. Dinner and your overnight stay are at your booked lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest National Park- Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park- Boat Cruise
Wake up for breakfast, drive to the park information offices for a briefing about the precautions and allocation of members per chimpanzee families. You will go into the forest to encounter chimpanzees and several other species of monkeys such as red colobus monkeys, L’hoest monkeys, red-tailed monkey, olive baboon, mangabeys and black and white Colobus monkeys. Have lunch, and after chimpanzee trekking, you will drive for 2- 3hrs to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, join the Kazinga channel boat trip. The Kazinga Channel boat cruise provides an opportunity to spot a variety of species including crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, elephants, and bird species on the channel waters. After the boat cruise, drive to the lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Wake up early, have breakfast and after embark on a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Kasenyi plains dwell in the vast savannahs of the Albertine Rift in the classic savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Expect a morning full of adventure! Where you will encounter animals such as elephants, lions, waterbucks, buffalos, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, and topis. Spotting some members of the “Big Five” in the park is not guaranteed, but on a lucky day, you may spot leopards, lions as part of the top predators in the park. After the game drive, drive to Ishaha, have lunch enroute and after transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Wake up early, prepare yourself with all the essentials for gorilla trekking such as the trekking permits, hiking shoes, long sleeved shirts, pair of pants, camera, a pair of binoculars, trimmed hat, insect repellent, water proof jacket and backpacker, among others. Have breakfast, with boxes of packed lunch and after drive to the park information offices for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of the activity. After, you will get distributed to different gorilla family groups not exceeding 8 trekkers in each group. Enter the jungle accompanied by armed ranger guides in search for mountain gorillas. Upon seeing them, you will spend an hour observing them and their routine activities, take photos and videos, after return to the park information offices. Return to the lodge and relax, spend your evening at leisure.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Evening Game Drive
Wake up, have breakfast, transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Lake Mburo National Park. Have lunch at the lodge, relax and have an evening game drive, where you will spot several animal species including the highest population of Zebras, impalas, Erands, buffaloes, giraffes, stripped jackals, leopards, spotted hyena, hippos, topi, waterbuck, sitatunga, and several bird species. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Lake Mburo National Park-Morning nature walk-Transfer to Entebbe via the Equator
Start the day with an early breakfast followed by an early morning nature walking safari, which will get you close to nature in its pure form such as getting personal and close to different wildlife species they get out from their hiding such as giraffes, zebras, erands, topis, sitatungas, impalas, and many others. After this magical experience, check out of the lodge and start your journey to Entebbe International Airport. If interested, a stopover is scheduled at the Equator crossing to grab coffee and shop for souvenirs and handicrafts. After the stopover, continue with the drive to Entebbe. The estimated drive time to Entebbe is 5hrs. The estimated arrival time should be sufficient to enable you check in for the return flight at Entebbe International Airport, hence marking our 8-Day Uganda wildlife, gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari
